Bell Media scored a touchdown with Sunday’s broadcast of the 100th Grey Cup setting record viewership numbers on TSN and RDS.
According to overnight data from BBM Canada provided by Bell Media, an average audience of 5.5 million Canadians watched the broadcast on TSN, that number jumps to 5.8 million when adding in viewers on RDS. The combined 5.8 million viewers marks a 28% increase over 2011 numbers.
Audiences spiked across all demos for the Sirius XM Grey Cup Half-Time Show, with an average audience of 6.1 million viewers tuning in for performances from Gordon Lightfoot, Marianas Trench, Carly Rae Jepsen and Justin Bieber.
The Toronto extended market posted a 21.9 rating for the game, with the Calgary extended market recording a 36.8 rating.
