Rogers specialty channels add mid-season shows

Hoarders, psychics and Tony Danza join the lineups in January.

Rogers announced its mid-season additions this week for The Biography Channel, OLN and G4, as well as an update to the Citytv winter lineup, which was released earlier this month.

On Biography, there are three new shows being added to the lineup. Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal will be on Tuesdays at 10 p.m., starting Jan. 4. The show profiles children with psychic abilities and puts them with three adult psychics and a psychotherapist to help them through their often isolating journey.

Season 1 of Hoarders arrives on The Biography Channel on Fridays at 10 p.m., starting Jan. 7. The show offers a look into the lives of people whose lives are being ruined by their inability to get rid of anything. A therapist, a professional organizer and a cleaning crew work to get the hoarders on the right track.

On Sundays at 10 p.m., starting Jan. 9, Teach: Tony Danza sees the Taxi and Who’s the Boss actor put his decades-old degree in History Education to use as a full-time teacher at a Philadelphia high school.

Elsewhere on the dial, OLN welcomes the fourth season of Destination Truth to the lineup on Fridays at 8 p.m., starting Jan. 4. The show features explorer Josh Gates as he searches for answers to unexplained mysteries, such as zombies in Guam and Bigfoot in Siberia.

On G4, Mad, an animated sketch comedy show inspired by Mad Magazine, will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m., starting Jan. 5.

The Citytv winter programming updates include My Rona Home, which will now be on Sundays at 9 p.m., starting April 10, and Who Do You Think You Are?, which will now be premiering Feb. 4.

Secret Millionaire will air 9 p.m. on Sundays, starting March 6.
