Shaw’s History channel is kicking off the fall season a little early this year with its newly revealed lineup of new and returning series that kicks off Aug. 26.
Joining the schedule this year are new Canadian original series Restoration Garage and Treasures Decoded. Restoration Garage premieres Monday Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. and follows the shop floor drama of car restoration shop The Guild, while Treasures Decoded joins the channel’s Friday lineup starting Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. and investigates five of the world’s greatest treasures like the Shroud of Turin and the Sphinx of Giza.
Other new series include Hatfields & McCoys: White Lightning, a follow-up to the 2012 miniseries that follows descendants of both families as they try to overcome their differences by making Hatfield & McCoy branded moonshine, and God, Guns & Automobiles, about a Missouri-based car dealer trying to lure customers to his rural dealership through publicity stunts.
Hatfields & McCoys: White Lightning debuts Wednesday Aug. 28 with back-to-back episodes starting at 10 p.m, while God, Guns & Automobiles premieres with back-to-back episodes Thursday Aug. 29 starting at 10 p.m.
Returning to History for new seasons are Canadian Pickers, which premieres Aug. 26 at 8 p.m., and Counting Cars, which debuts with back-to-back episodes starting Aug. 26 at 10 p.m. Also rejoining the fall lineup are Pawn Stars, with back-to-back episodes starting Aug. 27 at 9 p.m., and Mountain Men, which returns Aug. 27 at 10 p.m.
Meanwhile, American Restoration returns with new back-to-back episodes at 8 p.m. starting Aug. 28, and Ice Road Truckers will follow with its new season in the 9 p.m. slot. American Pickers also returns for a new season starting Aug. 29 at 9 p.m.
A premiere date for the latest season of Ice Pilots NWT is still to be determined.
