Mobile ad tech solutions company Tapped Mobile has announced a deal to become the exclusive Canadian advertising representative for Shazam.
The company, which allows customers to connect offline TV and music experiences to online discovery, special offers and extras, has previously worked with advertisers like McDonald’s, Reitmans, Toyota, Michael Hill Jewellers and HBC.
Shazam currently has 9.5 million subscribers in Canada, adding 300,000 new users each month, with 68% of users engaging with ads on the platform, according to numbers from a Tapped Mobile release.
Jed Schneiderman, president of Tapped Mobile, says Shazam users can be targeted by factors like geography, OS, carrier and time of day.
