Canwest’s Showcase is giving fans of its shows exclusive star interviews and inside info with its new podcast, Showcast.

Updated bi-weekly and available on iTunes and Showcase.ca, Showcast will include exclusive interviews with celebs from Showcase shows, including Justin Kirk and Hunter Parrish from Weeds, Callum Keith Rennie from Shattered, Michelle Lovretta from Lost Girl, and Spencer Rice from Kenny vs. Spenny.

Subscribers to the podcast will also receive bonus material, including printable posters and video content.

Although the first episode of Showcast, released earlier this week, did not include advertising, Chris Harris, director, digital content, Canwest, tells MiC that title sponsorship of the podcast is available, as is ‘presented-by’ sponsorship of individual segments.

The podcast is being promoted via display ads on Showcase.ca and a promotional tile on iTunes. Showcase’s Facebook and Twitter pages will also be promoting the podcast.
