As we feel the first wisp of warmer weather, things are heating up with the release of the latest radio ratings. The new PPM release from Numeris completes the thirteen week period covering November 30 to February 28, 2016. Let’s take a look the five PPM markets.
Toronto: Bragging rights at the top of the ratings heap go to CHFI-FM once again, with a 11.4% share of hours tuned for A12+ (up from 10.1% last time out). The station’s “all Christmas music” programming in December gave it a bit of a boost. CHUM-FM takes the #1 spot with women 25 to 54, delivering a 15.8% share (down from 16.4%) followed by CHFI-FM with 14.5% (up very slightly from 14.3%). BOOM-FM holds the #1 spot for men 25 to 54, posting a 9.6% share (down from 10.8% in the last 13 week book) followed by Q107 at 8.2% (down from 8.5%). Virgin 99.9 leads the way for men 18 to 34 with a 10.3% share (down from 11.0%) followed by the Edge at 9.3%. For women 18 to 34, CHFI-FM tops the list posting a 15.7% share.
Vancouver: 103.5 QM-FM grabs the #1 spot for A12+ with a 13.9% share of hours tuned (down from 14.1% last time out). Taking the top spot for women 25 to 54 was QM-FM, posting a 21.2% share (up from 18.4% last time out). QM-FM also holds the lead for male 25 to 54 listeners, delivering a 10.8% share (down from 11.2 %) followed closely by the FOX at 10.7% (up from 9.8%). The FOX is out in front for men 18 to 34 with a 13% share of hours tuned (down from 17.7%). When it comes to females 18 to 34, QM-FM takes top spot with 17.5% share (up from 14.2%).
Edmonton: 102.3 NOW! Radio rules the roost for A12+ posting an 11.6% share of hours tuned (down from 10.7%). NOW! Radio takes top spot for women 25 to 54, delivering a 17.9% share (down from 19.2%). NOW also tops the list for men 25 to 54 with a 13.7% share (up from 11.3%). For men 18 to 34, K97 posted a 12.1%. For women 18 to 34 NOW! delivered a 20.7% share (down from 19.1%).
Calgary: Country 105 leads the way for A12+ with a 9.9% (down from 10.1%). KISS 95.9 is popular with the ladies, taking #1 spot for women 25 to 54, delivering an 11.7% share (up from 8.9%), followed by Country 105 at 11.5% (up from 11.3%). For men 25 to 54, Q107 is #1 with a 10.2% share (flat with last book). Country 105 takes top spot for men 18 to 34, delivering a 13.2% share (down from 15.6%). Virgin is #1 for women 18-34, posting a 13.5% share (down from 16.8%).
Montreal: CHMP-FM 105.7 is #1 for A12+ with a 17.1% share (down from 17.3%). CFGL-FM 105.7 Rythme FM is tops with the ladies, taking #1 spot for women 25 to 54 and delivering an 18.4% share (up from 18.1 %). For men 25 to 54, CHMP 98.5FM is on top at 15.6% share (flat with the last book) followed by CHOM-FM at 12.5%. CHMP-FM is #1 for men 18 to 34 with a 14.4% share (up from 13.3%).
