To promote the new original series Lost Girl, Showcase has launched a microsite filled with content, including a six-part interactive motion comic.
Created in partnership with Bedlam Games and Prodigy Pictures, the series of interactive motion comics is a prequel to the show and an introduction to the lead character, Bo, described on the site as ‘a Succubus who feeds on the sexual energy of humans.’ Ad opps for the site include title sponsorship and standard leaderboard and big box ads through all sections of the site.
Each episode of the animated comic is about four minutes long, and viewers are occasionally given the responsibility of choosing Bo’s next move, whether to run or punch, for example. The first of the six comics is currently online.
The site also features videos, downloads, games, fan forums and an episode guide. Each episode of the show will be available online after broadcast.
Lost Girl premieres on Showcase Sept. 12 at 9 p.m.
