APTN is looking for laughs with its new fall schedule.

Featuring two new sketch comedy shows, the channel will launch its new Comedy Tuesdays on Sept. 7 with The Bionic Bannock Boys at 9:30 p.m. and Caution: May Contain Nuts at 10 p.m. The sketch comedy hour is bookended by new comedy offering The Candy Show at 9 p.m. and the popular music show Arbor Live at 10:30 p.m. (All times eastern.)

APTN is also premiering a new six-part reality mini-series that takes six First Nations people from downtown Vancouver and drops them in the wilds of BC to see how they’d fare living the lives of their ancestors. Back in the Day will air over six Saturdays, starting Sept. 11.

Other new shows debuting in September include Indiens dans la ville on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 2 p.m., starting Sept. 8; The Young Riders on Thursdays at 8 p.m., starting Sept. 9;  Water Stories on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., starting Sept. 15; and the four-part documentary Billy Connolly: Journey to the Edge of the World on Sundays at 5 p.m., starting Sept. 19.

September will also see the return of Closer to Home on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m., starting Sept. 8, which documents the stories of families, their homes and how they fit into their communities.

In October, APTN will be rolling out two more shows, Fit First, a six-part series that tells the stories of people in pursuit of healthier lives, on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., starting Oct. 13, and Sheltered, a four-part exploration of ancient Aboriginal home-building techniques on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., starting Oct. 20.
