La Presse Group Sales has promoted one of its own to a new role, upping Celeste Normington to the newly created position of sales director in Toronto.
Normington has been with La Presse Group Sales since March 2015, previously working as an account director of national sales. In the new role Normington will lead a team of national advertising sales representatives, also playing a frontline role in the ongoing migration of national sales towards the La Presse+ digital tablet platform.
Her promotion follows news earlier this week that Simon Jennings, who has lead the La Presse Group Sales team in Toronto since 2013, is leaving the company to become the CRO at Pelmorex Media.
Prior to joining La Presse, Normington worked with Jennings at Olive Media, where she was in sales and he was president.
Lake will report to Merida Lake, GM, La Presse Group Sales Toronto in the new role.
