OMD has upped Bobby Destounis to a VP position with its Montreal office.
Destounis will remain a group director with OMD while taking on supervision of more than 20 staff within the Montreal office and overall agency promotion.
In his years with OMD, Destounis has managed both regional and national accounts for McDonalds, Beiersdorf, Bel Cheese, Jublia, Boréale and FIFA Womens World Cup.
He has been with OMD since 2013, when he started as a group director of strategy. For his first four years at the agency, on top of account management, Destounis contributed to the agency’s business development strategy. He’s been in the agency world since 2005, previously working at Cossette Media and Marketel (now McCann). Accounts he’s managed at previous agencies include Air Canada, Rogers, Canada Post, L’Oreal Paris, Nike, Metro and others.
Following Destounis’ promotion, OMD has brought in new group director of strategy Emilie McAllister, who was previously with Touché and Sid Lee Media. The agency has also hired Mélanie Baillargeon (also formerly from Touché) as an account supervisor.
In Toronto, OMD recently bolstered its top ranks by naming managing director John Killam the agency’s first chief client officer.
