Bell Media Studios has commissioned a pair of unscripted originals for its Crave SVOD service, in addition to renewing 13 other series and specials for CTV and Discovery.
Among the new Crave commissions is Healthy Is, a show based on ETALK reporter Chloe Wilde’s lifestyle website Healthy is Hot. The show sees Wilde and guests discuss topics such as empowerment, beauty and health.
Bell Media’s in-house Studios brand also greenlit an untitled series fronted by Elaine “Lainey” Lui. The show sees Lui, a co-host on The Social and senior correspondent on ETALK, discuss some of Crave’s most popular programming.
Also renewed for the SVOD service was Much Studios Presents: Mike On Much, a screen-based adaptation of the podcast of the same name.
Elsewhere, Bell Media renewed Disasters at Sea for season two, Mighty Trains for season three and Mighty Cruise Ships for season four. All three shows are produced by Bell Media’s in-house factual production unit Exploration Production.
CTV also re-upped a number of its day-time properties including Your Morning, The Marilyn Denis Show, The Social and ETALK. Bell Media also greenlit The Original Santa Claus Parade, ETALK Live at the Oscars, ETALK Live from the Oscars Balcony and the 2019 iHeartRadio MMVAs for the 2019/20 schedule. Confirmation of these greenlights comes a month after wedding-venue series Where To I Do? was renewed for a third season on Gusto.
The announcement comes a week ahead of the CTV Upfront presentation, where Bell Media will unveil its full roster of commissions and acquisitions for the upcoming year.
