Shaw Media’s Global took the night yesterday with the premiere of Survivor: South Pacific at 8 p.m. The show brought in 2.1 million viewers (2+), winning the night nationally and in Toronto and Vancouver for adults 18 to 49, according to BBM Canada.
The show beat its closest competitor, the finale of America’s Got Talent on Rogers Media-owned Citytv by 61%, bringing in 1.5 million viewers (2+).
Global’s finale of Big Brother also took the top spot in its timeslot, with an audience of 1.5 million (2+).
