Rogers Media has rolled out its mid-season lineup, with new J.J. Abrams series Alcatraz as the centrepiece drama and ABC’ Work It as its hyped new comedy.
Alcatraz, the drama about the US’s most infamous prison, launches Monday Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. with a two-hour premiere on Citytv in simulcast with Fox.
Work It, the new ABC comedy about two friends who become cross dressers to get jobs during the recession, launches Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 3 on Citytv.
Earlier in the month, OMNI2 in Toronto is the home for the premiere of the latest edition of The Bachelor on Monday Jan. 2 at 8:30 p.m. in Toronto, airing in simulcast with ABC, and starting Monday Jan. 16 on OMNI in Edmonton and Calgary.
Jan. 12 marks the launch of the latest season of 30 Rock, airing Thursday nights at 8 p.m.
Rounding out the week, Fridays beginning Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. sees the return of the celebrity family tree tracing show Who Do You Think You Are?
Shaw Media unveiled its mid-season schedule earlier this week, highlighting new Canadian shows Bomb Girls and The Firm.
