Mindshare adds a chief strategy officer

The agency is the latest shop to introduce the role, hiring Jordan Bitterman, who most recently worked at Digitas, to the new position.

GroupM agency Mindshare is the latest agency to add a chief strategy officer, hiring Jordan Bitterman to the newly created role.

Bitterman, who most recently worked as SVP at Digitas, leading the social, mobile and content divisions, will be responsible for all of North America in his new role at Mindshare. His new role will include driving inspiration for the Mindshare brand in North America through a series of internal initiatives, connecting the agency to the marketplace through focusing on industry partnerships and emerging technology. He will also focus on CMO-level engagement and take a central role in new business efforts, according to a release on his hire.

The new role takes effect inĀ  mid-June, with Bitterman working out of Mindshare’s New York office.

Mindshare’s announcement of Bitterman’s new role comes a day after fellow GroupM agency Maxus added the role to its ranks and a week after Aegis Media Canada announced Sasha Grujicic was being promoted to the new role at its shop.
