Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games launches new website

Mobile-friendly Toronto2015.org will host live results as well as an interactive storytelling platform for sponsors.

Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games (known as TO2015) unveiled its new website,  Toronto2015.org, on Friday.

Rick Ramsbottom, VP sponsorship sales and partnership services, TO2015, tells MiC that the website, which was developed by Fuse Marketing Group in partnership with its sister company Soft Gravity, will share information, photos, videos and live competition results with fans as well as provide a platform for sponsors to share integrated interactive content including videos.

“The Royal Canadian Mint, which is going to be doing our athlete medals for us, will have a section on the website close to the Games where they’re going to tell the story of how they made the medals,” Ramsbottom, tells MiC. “It just provides a great storytelling medium for companies to tell [about] how they’re contributing to the success of the Games.”

Most activations are still being planned, and are expected to begin to roll out 18 to 12 months before the Games.

Ramsbottom also spoke to content-sharing arrangements with the Toronto Star and CBC, official TO2015 media and broadcast partners respectively, that are currently being developed. He adds the TO2015 team is still looking for new partners as the Games get closer.
