Rick Sanderson has joined MacLaren McCann as its SVP and director of media innovation in Vancouver.

Sanderson most recently worked client-side at Vancouver-based Global Relay. Prior to that he spent eight years as the Vancouver general manager of OMD Canada.

In his new role, Sanderson will work directly with Hagan Ainsworth, SVP, GM and creative director at the agency, and John Hall, SVP of engagement and innovation.

“It’s fantastic to be back in the agency world.” says Sanderson. “Sometimes you have to step away from something in order to fully appreciate it. I realized very quickly that I missed the dynamic atmosphere and the creativity that is inherent in this business. I look forward to working with Hagan and John to shape how we deliver on that to our clients.”
