Juice opens San Francisco office

Neil Sweeney on the strategy behind the new outpost as the mobile co celebrates its fourth birthday.

Juice Mobile is celebrating its fourth anniversary since incorporating the business with the opening of a new office in San Francisco.

The office is the second for the company in the US, with the first being in New York City, and will be led by Munish Taneja, who comes to the company from his most recent position at Mocean Mobile and also works as business development director for Juice Mobile in the US.

Neil Sweeney, president and CEO, Juice Mobile, tells MiC that opening the second US office for the company is all part of the plan to expand the business south of the Canadian border.

“Juice Mobile was never set up to be a domestic company,” he says. “It was always built to be an international one so pushing into other markets was part of the goal from the beginning.”

Sweeney says the company’s recent announcement of the launch of an interactive ad unit for tablets that lets viewers engage with a video through tappable “hot spot” buttons is part of a planned roll-out of new products for the company this year, with the aim of launching a new mobile-focused offering each month in 2014.
