Amazing Race Canada ends on season high

The CTV program brought in an average audience of 2.7 million viewers Sunday night, the most for any episode of the second season.

The Amazing Race Canada closed its second season on a ratings high, bringing in an average audience of 2.7 million viewers to the broadcast of the Sunday night finale on CTV, according to preliminary numbers from Numeris.

Overall 4.7 million unique visitors tuned into the finale at least in part, with numbers peaking at 3.3 million viewers in the final minutes when Mickey and Pete were running to the final pit stop mat to meet host Jon Montgomery and the previously eliminated teams from the season.

Immediately following the finale, the live after-show special After the Race at 9 p.m. brought in an average of 1.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched Bell Media in-house production on record.

Overall the second season of The Amazing Race Canada brought in an average audience of 2.7 million viewers over the summer. Casting is open for the just-announced third season of the show.
