Alastair Taylor named Pauchuk’s ‘right hand’ at MEC

The former SVP and managing director has been promoted to a new role at the agency.

Alastair Taylor has been promoted to the role of chief client officer at MEC Canada, a new role for the agency in the country.

Taylor joined the GroupM agency in the summer of 2012 as SVP and managing partner, leading the Molson team and also working on the agency’s L’Oreal account. Under his leadership, MEC successfully retained the Molson account this fall following a closed review. Prior to joining MEC Canada Taylor worked at Carat leaving the agency in the position of VP and managing partner.

Michele Pauchuk, president, MEC Canada, says Taylor will be positioned as her “right hand” at the agency, allowing the pair to share duties and cover more ground as the agency pursues growth in Canada.

MEC Canada took Bronze at the 2014 Media Agency of the Year awards.
