Nevermind the second screen, how about eight?

New research from Videology looks at the content consumption habits of Canadians, with some higher-than-anticipated numbers.

Second screen? How about the eighth screen. According to new numbers from Videology, 20% of Canadian respondents have eight screens to consume content on in the home.

The survey asked 2,449 Canadians about their video consumption habits, and found that while one-fifth of those surveyed have eight or more screens at their disposal at home, the second screen is still very much alive, with 54% of respondents saying they use more than one screen while watching TV.

The amount of people with eight screens at home, along with the 14% of respondents who frequently consume video on a device in the bathroom, were the most surprising findings from the study for Mark McKee, SVP, global marketing and strategy, Videology.
