Former Bell Media exec Nathalie Cook is making the leap agency-side, joining Toront-based media and talent company Cimoroni & Co.
Cook, who comes to the client services and content business from her current role as VP, sales partnerships at TSN, is expected to handle the company’s day-to-day operations, as well as growing the companies client relationships with new partners.
The news comes alongside two new pieces of business for the agency: the European Tour and Bell Media’s FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. Cimoroni launched the company in 2013, leaving his position as the SVP of the Canadian Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium because he saw gaps in the Canadian media marketplace. Cimoroni then told MiC there was an opportunity sell ad inventory for specific add-on projects for clients.
Cimoroni & Company started its work focusing on media consulting, business development, and a content business and has since grown that to include talent and athlete representation, strategic business planning, and partner relations management.
Cimoroni noted in a statement that adding Cook to his team was key for his company as it begins to expand. He pointed to her previous experience in building brand partnerships, talent management and establishing strong client relationships. Cook’s experience on special projects also connects her to the Olympics. In 2010, she was VP, marketing and partnerships for the 2012 Olympic Games in London and was also director of partnerships for the Vancouver games in 2010.
Last year the Women’s Executive Network added Cook’s name to its list of Canada’s 100 most powerful women.
The position is effective April 4.
