The the Bell Media-owned, food-focused specialty channel Gusto has set its December lineup with a number of Christmas-themed shows, including specials from Michael Bonacini and Jamie Oliver.
Michael Bonacini’s Christmas at the Farm (pictured), which sees the MasterChef Canada judge recreating classic Welsh and Italian dishes from his childhood, premieres on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10 p.m. The Gusto original was created by Gusto president and CEO Chris Knight.
Premiering one week later, on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 p.m, is Eat Well for Less Christmas Special, where British food personalities Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin give tips on how to save money and time on Christmas dinner.
Jamie’s Italian Christmas, in which Oliver shows viewers how to create festive Italian dishes, is airing on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m.
Beginning Dec. 22, Gusto will also begin airing its “Christmas Specials Marathon,” including a variety of previously aired special episodes from chefs such as Lorraine Pascale, Rachel Allen and Oliver.
Heading into the new year, Gusto is also airing a Jamie Oliver marathon beginning Monday, Jan. 1 at 3 p.m., including episodes from the chef’s latest series Jamie’s Quick and Easy Food.
Bell Media announced its acquisition of the Gusto brand in Canada in May 2016, with Gusto launching in October of that year with a focus on lifestyle and culinary shows. The channel’s primary target is women 25 to 54, with a particular focus on the younger end of that demo.
