The Nissan Dealer Association was the most prominent radio advertising buyer in Toronto for the week of Aug. 20 to 26.
Nissan topped the Media Monitors charts for the week after purchasing 1,128 spots. It climbed up from #6 the previous week.
Coming in second place was the Acura Dealer Association, making an even bigger jump up from #30. The city’s top-five was rounded out by the Canadian National Exhibition (down from #2), Rogers (up from #11) and the Honda Dealer Association (up from #9).
Also new to the city’s top-10 were Ford (#7) and Freedom Mobile (#8).
With the big buys from Nissan, Acura, Honda and others, it came as no surprise that car and truck dealer associations were the highest-buying group, purchasing 5,037 spots as a category.
Auto dealers didn’t have the same prominence in Montreal, where Bell Mobility once again took the top spot, this week with a play count of 363.
That was followed by another Bell property, CTV (up from #17), then by new entrant Ford at #3. The top-five was rounded out by the Quebec government at #4 and Sleep Country Canada at #5 (up from #15).
For categories, wireless carriers took the top in Montreal, with 605 total spots purchased.
