RBC Royal Bank was the top radio buyer in Toronto for the week of Nov. 5 to 11, purchasing 1,413 spots, according to Media Monitors. The financial institution did not appear on the top 100 last week.
It was followed by OLG in (up from #4 last week) which purchased 819 spots. Coming in at #3 was BMW Dealer Association, also new to the top 100, followed by Canadian Tire (down from #3 last week) and TD Bank.
For categories, the banks, credit unions, mortgage brokers and financial services stayed in the top spot in both Toronto and Montreal. The category increased in both markets with 3,861 total spots in Toronto (up from 2,578) and 680 (up from 108) in Montreal.
In Montreal, Mitsubishi Dealer Association was the top radio buyer with a play count of 397, followed closely by RBC, which purchased 392 spots. The #3 spot was taken by last week’s top buyer, Bell High Speed Internet, with CTV and Gouvernment du Quebec rounding out the top five.
