Big Bang takes the top again: Numeris

In one month, the long-running comedy will bid goodbye.

Three weeks off the air didn’t do a thing to shake The Big Bang Theory‘s ratings.

The CTV comedy returned to the linear airwaves in Canada after a brief break to an average of 3.48 million viewers, making it the highest-rated single-night show for the week of April 1 to 7, pulling in an average-minute audience (2+) of 3.48 million viewers. This is the comedy’s last season; the hour-long finale will air May 16.

Following Big Bang was its prequel series Young Sheldon. Two Global shows followed, with first responder drama 9-1-1 and procedural juggernaut NCIS in third and fourth, respectively. Rounding out the top-five was CTV’s The Rookie with 1.96 million viewers.

Big Bang swept every Anglophone market, although Young Sheldon didn’t have the same hot streak. Montreal had another all-CTV week with Big Bang, Young Sheldon, Grey’s Anatomy, This is Us and The Rookie taking the top. In the Quebec Francophone market, La voix continued its hot streak with just under two-million viewers.
