Kao Canada, parent company of beauty brands such as Bioré and Jergens, has selected m/Six to hold its media buying account in Canada.
According to Kao, the brand’s goal is to grow its presence across digital channels. As AOR, m/Six will not only handle all media buying, but will also work closely with the brand’s in-house marketing team to create an integrated media unit.
Teri Barrigar, director of marketing and business development at Kao Canada said in a statement that m/Six’s skills in “using data to drive meaningful effective consumer engagement” was a deciding factor in the selection.
Kao previously worked with Gaggi Media (which has since merged with VMC) on media buying. For m/Six, this represents its first major win since the appointment of new agency president Tricia Allen in Q3 2019. The agency’s other media buying clients include Manulife, David Yurman, Special Olympics Canada, Purolator and the University of Waterloo.
