Vancouver-based INEO Solutions is the latest member to join the Canadian Out-of-Home Marketing and Measurement Bureau’s growing place-based membership category, and it’s bringing a new data set with it.
COMMB has verified the methodology INEO uses for determining average weekly impressions captured by its DOOH placements with its INEO Welcoming System. The system replaces the exit door security gates of retail outlets – primarily liquor stores – and combines digital signage, data capture and loss prevention in one device.
In addition to its 32-inch screens being highly visible within a retail location, they are also equipped with high-definition cameras that are calibrated to eliminate miscounts, account for background images and obstructions to ensure accurate impressions.
INEO’s technology is currently used in 135 liquor stores across several major markets in Western Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. In the coming months, INEO expects to begin its expansion to the rest of Canada before moving on to the rest of North America and into Europe.
INEO will provide COMMB with up to a full year’s worth of hourly data for all stores equipped with the technology to add to its audience circulation and impression data. Lifetime data will be provided for stores in which the screens have been installed for less than a year.
