Public Mobile tops radio charts in Toronto: Media Monitors

In Montreal, the Quebec government continued to hold the top spot.

Public Mobile increased its radio presence in Toronto as pandemic restrictions officially began to scale back in Ontario, taking the top spot among Toronto radio advertisers for the week of Jan. 31 to Feb 6.

The mobile phone company had 950 radio spots in Toronto last week, moving from second to first in the list of most active advertisers.

Scotiabank jumped up the list to the second spot, up from fifth place last week, while Spence Diamonds came in at third, up from fourth. The LCBO made a new push onto the charts this week with the fourth most ads, while Desjardins Insurance made a new entry to the list at fifth.

In Montreal, the Government of Quebec continued to hold the top radio advertising spot with its campaign to promote pandemic-related safety measures. Responsible drinking advocacy group Edu’alcool, again, landed at number two, while Dairy Farmers of Canada purchased the third-most radio spots in Montreal, up from #6.

Categorically, financial services, government and insurance providers had the biggest presence on Toronto radio, with public service, government and banks the most active in Montreal.
