Meanwhile, two different Bell brands made big jumps in Montreal.

Toyota showed up as a new top radio buyer in Toronto, according to Media Monitors data for Oct. 17 to 23.

The rest of the city’s top spots were similar to last week with The Co-Operators, Air Canada and Desjardins Insurance taking the second, third and fourth spots, respectively. A new addition to the list was Telus Health, which showed up as number five.

In Montreal, two Bell brands made a big jump from last week: Bell Internet went from 43 to first and Virgin Plus went from 36 to third. Second was General Motors of Canada, which had the number one spot last week while the Government of Quebec and Air Canada had the fourth and fifth spots.

Categorically, auto brands were the most active radio advertisers in Toronto, followed by financial services. In Montreal, business and consumer services were the most active, followed by government and union ads.
