Though it is gearing up for its fall premieres, Corus also has a slate of new series ready to debut this summer, as well as the return of several fan-favourites.

Among the new pickups are the Dick Wolf-produced docuseries LA Fire & Rescue, which provides an inside look at the workings of the Los Angeles Fire Department, debuting later this June.

New music competition show Superfan will debut into the timeslot following LA Fire & Rescue in August. The game show features contestants answering questions to prove who knows the most about their favorite performer, later getting to meet their idols one-on-one.

Returning shows this summer include season five of Tough As Nails, which was filmed in Hamilton and features workers from both Canada and the U.S. who test their skills and toughness in a series of challenges modeled after real-world scenarios.

Global will also debut season 25 of Big Brother in August, with three episodes airing weekly. Outside of unscripted, Departure will return for season three the same month.
