McDonald’s was again the most active TV advertiser in Canada for the week of Nov. 27 to Dec. 3, according to media monitoring data from AdEase.

The QSR has been dominating the market since early November, when it teamed up with Crocs to launch a line of shoes, socks and Jibbitz charms inspired by the chain’s characters and fan-favorite menu items. Just behind it was Amazon Canada, which came in second in Toronto and third in Vancouver, as well as Tim Hortons, which started December by promoting its seasonal drinks.

Online grocery store chain Iga Food Stores was the week’s biggest mover, jumping 147 spots to sixth place in Montreal.

Nationally on speciality, Febreze joined the list after climbing six spots to sixth, along with Old Navy, which rose seven positions to eighth place. In contrast, P&G’s Downy moved down one spot to third, while Peloton Interactive dropped two positions to seventh place.

QSRs were once again the most active advertiser category by a significant margin, as were furniture stores and food delivery services.
