Rogers Communications headed the list of the top 10 most active radio advertisers in Canada for the week of Dec. 25 to 31, replacing Shoppers which dominated the market during the second week of December, according to AdEase.
The communications company recorded 6,654 combined occurrences and ranked first in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. Just behind was Esso, which reported 4,158 combined occurrences and came in second in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
One of the week’s biggest movers was FGL, which rose 374 positions to rank seventh in Ottawa, and London Drugs, which moved up 31 positions to finish third in Vancouver.
Category-wise, QSRs are no longer the highest-spending category, having been replaced by smartphone and mobile services and furniture stores.
