Governments, both federal and provincial, are once again topping AdEase’s charts.
According to the monitoring company’s latest report, they recorded 6,927 combined occurrences in the week of Jan. 15 to 21. The Government Of Canada, British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec have remained among the top positions this month – the previous week they ranked first and registered 7,930 total occurrences.
Spence Diamonds, which has been one of the most active advertisers this month, came in second place with 5,946 combined occurrences. Just behind was McDonald’s, with a total of 5,906 occurrences. The QSR ranked first in Vancouver alone and recorded 271 fewer occurrences than the week prior.
In terms of categories, two of the biggest movers were import SUVs, which moved up 96 positions to fifth place in Vancouver, and eyewear and optical stores, which climbed 124 positions to fourth place in Calgary. Tourism-related groups, such as Online Travel Agency and Airlines, also moved up significantly in the rankings.
