AdEase’s new report shows that Subway restaurants dominated the radio market for the week of March 25 to 31.
The QSR notched up 5,315 combined occurrences, 1,198 more than the previous week, when it held third place on the overall list. Between March 18 and 24, the company also had a significant presence in the AdEase list, ranking as the second most active advertiser of the week.
Reliance Home Comfort, a residential services company that specializes in the rental, sale and repair of heating and air conditioning systems, ranked second for the week with 4,486 total occurrences. The company returned to the AdEase charts after a brief break, having previously appeared from March 11 to 17. Spence Diamonds came in third with 4,207 total occurrences, followed by Toyota with 3,625.
One the week’s biggest movers was McDonald’s, which climbed 271 places to fourth in Vancouver, 349 positions to ninth in Calgary, and 349 spots to sixth in Edmonton. Subaru also jumped 347 positions to fifth in Ottawa and 96 in Toronto, where it placed third.
In AdEase’s ranking of top ad-spots, Subway took first place in Vancouver, second in Toronto, third in Calgary and Montreal, fourth in Ottawa and eighth in Edmonton with its ad about its Black Forest Ham sandwich. Reliance Home Comfort, meanwhile, finished eighth in Vancouver with 482 occurrences of its plumbing services spot.
