Toyota is once again the most active advertiser, having topped the AdEase radio charts three weeks ago.
The latest report from the monitoring company shows that the automaker recorded 4,884 combined occurrences for the week of April 8 to 14. It placed first in Quebec city, second in Calgary and Ottawa, third in Montreal, fifth in Toronto and sixth in Edmonton. It was the second most active advertiser the prior week, with 3,393 total occurrences.
Spence Diamonds follows, with 641 fewer occurrences than Toyota. The jeweller, which dominated the radio the previous week, ranked in all markets except Montreal and Quebec, where it doesn’t operate. McDonald’s came in third place with 3,897 combined occurrences, followed by Government Of Alberta with 3,265 and Subaru dealers with 2,991.
Among the week’s biggest movers were Shoppers, which climbed 276 positions to seventh in Vancouver, McDonald’s, which moved up 125 spots to sixth in Ottawa and Drug Free Kids, which jumped 242 places to fourth in Montreal. On the category side, the groups that advanced the most in the rankings were automotive imports general (up 206 positions to third in Quebec City), domestic trucks (up 167 positions to eighth in Montreal) and import SUVs (up 265 positions to second in Ottawa).
