Fuel Digital Media have added three automotive websites to its advertising inventory. Fuel is now the exclusive ad rep for Otogo.ca, AutoAubaine.com and AnnuelAuto.ca. The new titles have joined an automotive portfolio that includes Auto123 and AutoExpert.

The automotive category was hard hit by the Covid pandemic with Statista reporting that as a result of the pandemic, automotive revenue declined by $15.5 billion in 2020, 26.7% of the 2019 revenue. Car sales in Canada and around the world are steadily improving post-pandemic. The TD Economics report May 13, 2024 says Canadian vehicle sales are expected to increase 9.6% this year. In the first quarter of 2024, car volumes were up 17.4% YoY while light truck volumes grew 7.6% YoY.

According to Guideline’s April 2024 update, ad spend in the automotive category increased 26% YoY last month.
