Tim Hortons continued to dominate the TV market in the week of Dec. 9 to 15.
The latest AdEase report shows that the QSR notched up 2,433 occurrences, 220 occurrences less than the previous TV buying week. The restaurant chain ranked first in Vancouver and Calgary, while coming in second in Toronto and Montreal. Nationally in the specialty category, it placed second, behind Crave TV.
Crave was the second most active advertiser for the week, with 2,323 total occurrences, followed by Audible with 1,646 and Coca-Cola Beverages with 1,594. Compared to the previous week, all three advertisers increased their spend.
Audible was also one of the marketers that moved up most in the Vancouver ranking (168 positions), as well as in Calgary (161 positions), Toronto (206 positions) and Montreal (238 positions). Interprovincial Lottery Corporation also rose significantly on the Vancouver list (70 positions).
QSRs, TV and streaming services, jewelry stores and department stores were the highest-spending groups.
