Pattison Outdoor Advertising has formed a new partnership with Niagara Transit, strengthening its presence in the Niagara region.
Under the deal, Pattison will now manage and sell advertising space on all transit vehicles and bus shelters throughout the Niagara region, covering communities such as Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Welland, Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Thorold, Grimsby, Pelham and Wainfleet. The company already managed advertising on some transit shelters in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland.
Pattison will offer advertising opportunities across Niagara Transit’s fleet of more than 180 transit vehicles, including conventional, microtransit, and specialized transit buses. Available formats will include interior and exterior posters, with additional half-wrap and full-wrap advertising options expected to roll out in the future. Pattison said that as the transit network evolves, the company will work closely with Niagara Transit to explore new advertising formats.
Additionally, as part of the agreement, 150 double-sided transit shelters featuring illuminated ad panels at street level will be available to advertisers.
Overall, Pattison handles sales for 38 transit authorities across Canada, including almost all transit authorities within the GTA except Durham Transit. This includes the Toronto Transit Commission and the Brampton Transit, as well as transit authorities in Mississauga, York, Burlington, Oakville and Barrie. Last December, the company also partnered with Montreal-based bike-sharing system Bixi to act as the exclusive representative of its ad inventory. The partnership will enable advertisers to gain street-level visibility through static billboards and Bixi bikes starting in winter 2025.
