According to the latest AdEase report, the Government of Canada maintained its position as the top radio advertiser for the week of March 17 to 22, with a total of 8,105 ad occurrences.

On a regional level, it secured the top spot in Vancouver and Montreal, while ranking third in Calgary and Toronto, fourth in Edmonton and Quebec City and fifth in Ottawa. The advertiser’s presence increased from 7,281 occurrences the previous week.

Meanwhile, IKEA jumped to second place with 6,264 occurrences, marking a significant re-entry after not appearing in the previous week’s AdEase ranking. Rounding out the top five were BCE with 4,465 instances (a decrease from the prior week), Subway with 4,235 (also down) and Desjardins Group with 3,966 (showing an increase).

There were significant gains in the ranking, with the Government of Alberta rising 411 positions in Calgary and 421 in Edmonton. Additionally, IKEA rose 412 spots in Edmonton, while Mazda saw a 374-position increase in Montreal.

On the category side, QSRs and internet services continued to be the top buying groups, along with furniture stores and local governments.
