TSN grabbed the national TV rights to Major League Soccer in Canada away from the CBC and Rogers Sportsnet earlier this year.
But Quebecor Media is the latest broadcaster to grab a regional package from MLS by teaming up with the upstart Montreal Impact.
The five-year deal will allow TVA to air Impact pro soccer games in HD, starting with the Montreal MLS team’s inaugural season at Saputo stadium in 2012.
The agreement with Quebecor Media also covers sponsorship, media and stadium technology.
The move follows Rogers Sportsnet snagging a regional deal to air 21 Vancouver Whitecaps games this coming season.
