OLG knocked out of the top spot: Media Monitors

The Honda Dealers Association purchased more than 1,700 spots in the Toronto market.

This past week, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG) increased its radio buy just slightly in the Toronto market, coming in at 1,358 total spots.

But, for the first time in more than two months, another buyer purchased even more in the market. The Honda Dealers Association purchased 1,730 spots on Toronto radio, making it the top buyer for the week, according to the latest Media Monitors report. OLG came in second place.

Rounding out the top-five in Toronto for the week of March 25 to 31 were Staples (up from #4), the Acura Dealers Association (down from #3) and the Hyundai Dealers Association (new to the list).

Honda and Acura were among those that pushed the car and truck dealer associations category to the top for the week. The category boasted more than 5,900 spots across advertisers.

In Montreal, CTV stayed on top with 440 spots purchased. Coming in second was electronics retailer The Source, moving up from fourth the previous week.

The Quebec Government fell one spot to #3, as did Bureau En Gros (Staples Quebec brand) in the #4 spot. Hyundai, a new entrant, rounded out the top-five.

Cars and trucks, Asian factory, were the top-buying category in Montreal, with 932 spots (increasing from 750 the week before).
