Renovation Resort, a new HGTV Canada competition series that teams Scott McGillivray and Bryan Baeumler, has nabbed three sponsors ahead of its debut on March 5.
The 60-minute, seven-episode series focuses on four professional designer-contractor duos each competitively helping McGillivray renovate one of four cabins at his new lakeside vacation resort, with Baeumler on board as a consultant. The series will air Sundays on HGTV Canada, and will also be available for streaming on Corus’ StackTV.
Three brands have signed on to have their products integrated throughout the show. Tim Hortons will provide the contestants with a healthy lunch of loaded wraps and bowls, baked goods, coffee and cold beverages throughout the season. As part of Rona’s sponsorship, the teams will also use the home improvement retailer’s exclusive lines of Sico Endurance and Prestige paints. Landscaping brand Techo-Bloc has signed on to have its paving stones and other products used to improve the cabin’s interior and exterior appeal.
By the end of the contest, one of the competing teams will win $100,000. Through the season, McGillivray and Baeumler – historically, two of HGTV Canada’s most popular personalities – will also be joined by guest judges Debra Salmoni (designer, Scott’s Vacation House Rules), Heather Greenwood Davis (travel writer and lifestyle host), Sarah Keenleyside (designer, Backyard Builds), Christine Tizzard (cookbook author and food stylist), Natalie Preddie (travel expert and writer) and Carson Arthur (landscape designer and television personality).
A spokesperson for Corus said that select sponsorship opportunities are available through Corus Tempo, the company’s in-house marketing and creative team.
