RONA kicks off spring with Pinterest

The RONA campaign features Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge ads as well as a Home Feed Spotlight.

RONA has turned to Pinterest for a spring campaign featuring products that help Canadians enjoy the warm weather ahead. To reach consumers primed for ideas, RONA is running a Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge campaign, as well as the Home Feed Spotlight to showcase their spring products across backyard, patio and outdoor furniture, and BBQs.

We are excited to be a first-to-market in the home category to leverage a bilingual Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge to help people find inspiration for their spring projects.”

The RONA campaign is based on one of the trends covered in the Pinterest Predicts report released in December 2023. RONA purchased a Pinterest Predicts Trend Badge for the Western Gothic décor trend that is all about mixing vintage Americana chic with deep, moody hues. RONA’s spring collection embodies this trend. According to Pinterest, searches for “Western Gothic” are up over 145% and “Vintage Americana” searches are also up over 145% on the platform.

The RONA featuring Western Gothic items runs May 9 & May 10 in the Home Feed Spotlight placement. The rest of the spring campaign will run across Pinterest until May 29 in both English and in French. The media plan was developed in collaboration with Starcom Canada.

The Pinterest Predicts report, an insights-driven global report backed by data, was built to help advertisers shape their marketing campaigns for 2024. Pinterest says it has an 80% success rate in predicting the trends that will play out in the year ahead.
