After a year-long absence as a result of a carrier dispute, all 33 Corus channels, including W Network, HGTV Canada and Global, will again be available through cable provider Eastlink, according to an announcement from both companies.
The channels were dropped from Halifax-headquartered Eastlink on June 27, 2023. At the time, Eastlink said it was unable to reach a deal with Corus on the carriage of its channels, but no further details were released.
The channels are available to Eastlink TV customers via the Corus Theme Packs.
“Our goal has always been to deliver our networks to as many Canadians as possible,” said Greg McLelland, Corus’ EVP and chief revenue officer, in a statement. “The customizable subscriptions, including theme packs unique to Eastlink, will allow their customers to reconnect with Corus’ strong brands and hit series.”
Eastlink CEO Jeff Gillham added that the company had been “working closely with Corus” to bring the channels back to its customers.
