In a TIFF: Campari plans red carpet activations

The Negroni brand recently signed a deal to be the official cocktail sponsor for the film festival.

In its new role as an official partner of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Campari wants to underscore the Italian aperitif brand’s passion for cinema. It plans to highlight that connection across distinct experiences at the festival, which runs from September 5 to 15.

The Campari Red Carpet Lounge will pop up on the Roy Thomson Hall red carpet, which will host filmmakers and talent before their world premieres. Attendees will be able to catch pre-screening toasts and conversations among stars from the South Fan Zone, also on the red carpet.

TIFF guests will be able to try, for the first time in Canada, custom-made cocktails made by Tommaso Cecca, the global head of Camparino, which has been recognized as one of the best cocktail bars in the world.

During the festival Campari will also partner with the Fairmont Royal York hotel for a number of experiences, including Red Carpet Cocktail Sessions at the hotel’s Library Bar the night before TIFF begins, an exclusive Campari Red Carpet Menu, and a Red Carpet photo opportunity just outside the doors of the Library Bar.

“[TIFF] is a beacon of creativity and innovation, values that are deeply embedded in Campari’s DNA,” says Julka Villa, Campari Group head of marketing.
