Remi Racine has been appointed as chairperson of the CBC/Radio-Canada board of directors for a five-year term, announced Tuesday by the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

“[Racine’s] service as a member of this board for the last several years and extensive experience in business and administration will be of great benefit to CBC/Radio-Canada,” said Minister Moore in a statement.

Racine was appointed to the board in 2007, then re-elected for a second four-year term last December.

He has served as board chair, president and exec producer of Montreal-based indie videogame developer and interactive co Behaviour Interactive since 1999.
