Toronto-based Reshift Media is turning its gaze west with the recent opening of a regional sales office in Calgary.
Reshift Media, which was founded by former Postmedia execs Kirk Allen and Steve Buors, opened its doors in September 2012. It specializes in SEO, social media, mobile and web design services, and works directly with media agencies and creative shops.
The new office, which will serve small- to medium-sized agencies in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Regina, will be managed by Perry Keegan, who joins the company as western relationship manager.
Keegan comes to Reshift from Postmedia, where he was director of sales training. He will be responsible for opening up the western market, while Reshift looks to grow its workforce in the region, particularly in Vancouver, over the next few months.
Allen tells MiC that Reshift opened the office to help it better serve potential clients out West. He says that now was the right time for the company because it has seen a surge in demand for its services in the Calgary and Vancouver markets.
He adds that opening an office in western Canada was always in the plans for Reshift, and says that the company will be looking to open up in the US in the next two years.
In other news, Reshift also recently worked with UPS Stores and launched new social media offering. Called Social Brand Amplifier, the software works with Facebook and allows companies to link their corporate profiles to their individual local profiles. Companies can then feed content from their corporate pages to all of their local pages simultaneously.
