HGTV unveils summer schedule

The Shaw Media specialty's lineup is anchored by new series like Scoring The Deal with real estate agent Jason Abrams (pictured) and returning shows like House Hunters.

HGTV is heating things up, with a summer lineup full of new and returning series.

Revealed yesterday, the specialty’s schedule features the premiere of Scoring the Deal with back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m. on May 29. The series follows real estate agent Jason Abrams (pictured) as he faces the often daunting task of finding homes for professional athletes.

Flea Market Flip, meanwhile, debuts with back-to-back episodes on May 31 at 9 p.m., and offers tips on how to make a little cash go a long way in the home.

Esther Extraordinaire follows designer Esther Taylor as she transforms Canadians’ homes, while Real Designing Women shines a spotlight on three different design businesses. Both series premiere with back-to-back episodes June 1 at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

Returning to HGTV’s schedule are Consumed at 5 p.m. on June 1, and Million Dollar Listing: New York at 10 p.m. on June 19. Also back for new seasons are House Hunters and House Hunters International, which return June 3 at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively.

There will be traditional advertising and sponsorship opportunities around the new season of shows, according to a Shaw Media representative.
