CBCMusic.ca is presenting the second annual CBCMusic.ca Festival this summer, moving the event from Toronto to Vancouver for this year’s edition.
The event will happen on Saturday June 14 at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, B.C., and will feature Canadian music acts like Juno Award-winning Tegan and Sara, Arkells and Chad VanGaalen. The day will be hosted by the CBC’s Jian Ghomeshi, and Gaye McDonald, director of marketing, revenue group at CBC, tells MiC that sponsorship packages range from on-site activations to cross-platform opportunities, like the “CBC Music presents: The Beetle Roadtrip Sessions,” that was live with the pubcaster last summer.
Content from the show will be taped and broadcast both online on the CBCMusic.ca site as well as on the main network’s Backstage Pass music show, says McDonald.
