This category has grown considerably since 2001 thanks to the expanding budgets of marketers in the toys and video games and accessories segments. TV has the category all wrapped up, leaving the other media to duke it out for the remaining 10% to 14% of the dollars. Last year daily newspapers had their best year since 2001 with 4.8% of the category while spending amongst the other media has been uneven.
